Dino E. Flores

Dino E. Flores runs the Frederick, Maryland, branch of the Law Offices of Steven D. Kupferberg. His main practice areas are criminal and traffic cases, as well as personal injury.

Dino grew up in Montgomery County, where he graduated from the Landon School in 1982. He attended Duke University, graduating with a degree in History in 1986. He then attended the Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned his juris doctorate degree in 1989.

Dino began his professional career as law clerk to Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge James S. McAuliffe, Jr., from 1989-1990. In 1990 he accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Montgomery County, where he worked until 1992. He then worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Montgomery County until 1994. After working for the Law Offices of Steven D. Kupferberg from June 1994-December 1994, he accepted a position in the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he was named head of the Homicide/Violent Crime Unit. He returned to private practice in 1999.

Dino has been a member of numerous legal organizations, including the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and the Frederick County Bar Association. He was a fellow in the first MSBA Leadership Academy Class in 1996, and also participated in the American Inns of Court from 1993-1995. He is currently the Secretary for the Frederick County Bar Association, and was president of the Frederick County Criminal Defense Bar Association in 2002. He has served on the Court of Appeals Character Committee since 1997, and is currently a member of the Court of Appeals’ Bail Review Task Force.

Since moving to Frederick County in 1998, Dino has been actively involved in the Frederick County Community. He served as a member of the Frederick County Human Relations Commission from 1999-2002, and served as a member of the Local Management Board of the Frederick County Office of Children and Families from 2001-2002. Dino is also actively involved in local politics, having run for the office of State’s Attorney in 2002. Dino was recently appointed to serve on the Frederick County Republican Central Committee. Dino and his wife Michelle, an Assistant State’s Attorney in Washington County, live in Walkersville with their two daughters.
